Additional Payment Methods
PayCafe offers our merchants the ability to accept PayPal as another payment option. Please supply the required information and the PayPal option will appear on the merchants' checkout page.
Important: Alternative payment methods will only work in the PayCafe hosted checkout. For instructions on how to set up a checkout page please click here Checkout Setup
Step 1: Log in to the Merchant Portal here https://merchant.paycafe.com/login
Step 2: Click on Configure Checkout
Step 3: Click on Other Payment Options
Step 4: Obtaining the merchants' PayPal Client ID and Secret
Step 4.1: Access PayPal Dashboard here >>> https://developer.paypal.com/developer/applications/
Step 4.2: Log in to PayPal
Step 4.3: Click on Create app
Important: In order to accept payments, your app needs to be Live. Click on Live.
Step 4.4: Create a name for your app, then click on Create app
Step 4.5: The merchants' Client I.D will be displayed
Step 4.6: The merchant will need to click on Show to get their Secret
Step 5: Copy/Paste links in the PayCafe merchant portal, then click on Save Changes
PayPal will appear as an option on the merchants' PayCafe checkout page
Sidenote: You can set your additional payment method to Active and Inactive.
What Happens Next?
Your additional payment option will be featured on your checkout page.
